Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace Advocates for Tougher Cruelty Laws

Sheriff Martin Pace of Warren County has long been an animal advocate, and spoke about animal cruelty as a precursor to violence toward humans at our 2016 conference. During a recent string of burglaries in Vicksburg, a family pet was murdered, once again highlighting the dire need for a first-offense felony for animal cruelty in our state. Please read and share this piece from the Vicksburg Post featuring Sheriff Pace to help us spread the word about this tragedy and to encourage our lawmakers to pass common-sense cruelty legislation in Mississippi.
